There will ups and downs, so anticipate them and prepare for them. But the best way is just take the thing on bit by bit. So often, we want to gobble up and fight against our battles. Sometimes, we just got to take the steps we can take.
If I was going to jail, I’d be shook. I’d be stressed out and crazy. I’d be upset and emotional and worried over a hundred things. But in that panic, I’m not really doing nothing. Ask yourself what can I do, where can I start?
Like if you was getting a bad diagnosis, only a year left on the clock, you would panic. Maybe panic for a day or a week. But then you would get to it. You would make a list and make some calls and do some research. You would just do something small and try to savor those moments.
Savor the small moments and the small growth. Don’t let motherfuckers tell you you ain’t about shit, especially if you took actions today to be better at something.
